Pipeline Safety Review

In September 2012, Minister Hughes asked the Energy Resources Conservation Board (ERCB) to contract the services of an independent third party to conduct a review of certain elements of Alberta’s pipeline system.  The ERCB awarded Group 10 Engineering Limited the contract.

Group 10 delivered the report to the ERCB. In June the ERCB became the Alberta Energy Regulator (AER), view the AER pipeline videoexternal link icon. In 2011 Jacobs Consultancy was contracted by the Alberta Government to produce a report that provides new information on the life cycle assessment of the greenhouse gases associated with crude oils used in the European Union.
