New schedule for Juan de Fuca cable review

On April 21, Sea Breeze proposed alternative routing of its proposed Juan de Fuca Power Line between Victoria and Port Angeles. (link)

The National Energy Board has consequently re-opened the proceeding to new intervenors until May 15, and postponed the hearing date to either June 7 or June 21 depending on whether new evidence is filed.

Documents filed in this posting by the NEB relate to the new route and schedule changes.

Sea Breeze now seeks to consider using a portion of the existing railway corridor between Burnett Road and Old Island Highway for the location of the Juan de Fuca Cable Project. Sea Breeze believes that this alternative will in part alleviate some of the construction impacts that would otherwise occur by having its project constructed adjacent to and underneath the Old Island Highway between Burnett Road and the railway bridge overpass across Old Island Highway.
