Fort McMurray, Alta.
A prominent environmentalist will help Alberta improve how it will consult with the public about its plan to turn the oil-sands region into a single mammoth industrial zone.
Martha Kostuch has been appointed to an advisory group that will help the province overhaul the controversial proposal.
The so-called Mineable Oil Sands Strategy covers 2,800 square kilometres of bitumen-rich northern woods. Critics say the plan isn't environmentally sustainable. CP
